Community guidelines

Approved public contributions are readable without an account where permitted. Ordinary accounts are available from age 13 where legally permitted. Being a teenager does not automatically require guardian approval. Follow the current action permissions and any applicable regional or platform requirement. A quick enclosure photo, purchased setup, unfinished project, animal introduction, equipment discussion, firsthand experience or feature request is welcome. Use one editor and choose Post, Question, Journal or Guide. Optional tags and details help people find and understand your contribution.

A main title is required when submitting a Post, Question, Journal or Guide. You may save a private draft with a blank title.

• Post: a meaningful short title plus text or at least one successfully uploaded photo. A title and enclosure photo are complete without a description, species, dimensions, materials or steps.
• Question: a meaningful short title and a clear question in the title or body. A complete question in the title needs no repeated body; photos and context are optional.
• Journal: a title plus a first entry with text or photos. Work in progress is valid. Add later dated updates without completing the original form again.
• Guide: a title, clear purpose and usable instructions. Explain the purpose in your natural instruction text or use the optional purpose helper. Write naturally or add structured steps. Include measurements, quantities, tools, sources, limitations and safety details where someone needs them to follow this particular method or assess consequential claims.

A construction method may need precise measurements; a photography guide does not need enclosure dimensions. Missing optional fields do not make a post incomplete. Supplied values must still be valid. Save incomplete drafts privately.

Species, enclosure dimensions and units, materials, equipment, tools, costs, project status and tags are available under Add details. Questions can be easier to answer with species, enclosure size and relevant equipment; add whatever you know. Just sharing and Feedback welcome communicate your preference while the same safety and respect rules apply.

Upload up to eight JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, up to 25 MB each. Choose the order and cover photo, and add optional captions or accessible descriptions. This pipeline supports images, not video uploads. Use your own writing and photos or material you have permission to share, and preserve required credits for creator photo features. You retain ownership. Permission to display your approved contribution does not give visitors a general license to reuse your photos.

Profanity, sexual or explicit material, rude or abusive behavior, harassment, threats, animal cruelty, dangerous advice, scams and spam are prohibited. Content is screened by our moderators, including Burt, and readers can report concerns. Moderation cannot guarantee that inappropriate material will never appear; we investigate reports and act on violations. Do not post malicious links, home addresses, private contact details, private conversations or identifying information about other people without permission. Do not upload pictures of other people without their permission. Follow the existing Community account eligibility and security requirements.

Keeper experiences remain personal accounts, distinct from official Creature Corner care and build guides. Support consequential animal-care claims with evidence. Avoid diagnosis, treatment instructions and hazardous keeping advice. Approval is a publication decision, not veterinary review, setup certification or an official editorial endorsement.

Save privately, optionally preview, then Submit for review. Read Saved privately, Awaiting review and Published as different states. Writing and uploaded photo references can recover on this device for the same account. Files waiting to upload cannot be restored after the page closes. Return to the original account after signing in again; drafts are not shown to another account.

Review applies to the exact submitted revision, including all text, photos, captions and updates. Edits and journal updates remain private until approved. Your last approved version stays public while a later revision is pending. Review feedback and history are available from My contributions. You may withdraw or delete your contribution. Readers can report published content for review.

Followed contribution updates and notification preferences remain available through existing account tools. Check My contributions for actual status and feedback; do not rely on an email or device notification to establish that a revision was reviewed.

Disclose free products, sponsorships, affiliate links or other relevant financial relationships. The care library remains freely accessible.
