Approved public care guides and Community contributions can be read without creating an account or completing guardian setup where legally permitted. Reading does not subscribe you to messages or authorize anyone to collect private notebook information.
Ordinary accounts from age 13
For this initial launch, ordinary online accounts are available to people aged 13 and older where legally permitted. We do not offer ordinary accounts to children under 13. People aged 13 through 17 do not need guardian approval simply because they are teenagers. An applicable location or native app requirement can add a specific approval or restriction; the account screen explains the step needed for that action. Provide accurate age and location information. Contact the owner to correct a mistaken restriction.
The age check uses birth month and year; you can add the day when your birthday falls in the current month. We do not retain those birth-date inputs. Our Privacy notice explains the minimized eligibility records we retain. Existing permission withdrawals, deletion requests and restrictions remain effective until properly resolved.
Different actions, different permissions

A strongly moderated Community
Profanity, abuse, harassment, sexual or explicit material, threats, animal cruelty, dangerous advice, spam, scams and privacy violations are prohibited. Our moderators include Burt, who can approve, publish or reject compliant submitted revisions under the Community guidelines. Owners can correct decisions. Moderation cannot guarantee that inappropriate content will never appear. Use the reporting and blocking controls when you encounter a concern.
Your writing and photographs
Follow the Community guidelines before submitting. You retain ownership of your writing and images. You must have permission to share them and give required credits. Submission authorizes display of the approved contribution and review of its supplied content and media. It does not authorize publication of private notebook records or an unreviewed edit. You can withdraw or delete a contribution; copies other people already saved may remain elsewhere.
When guardian or native approval is required
Required approval applies to the affected user, location, platform and action. A website guardian approval is separate from an Apple or Google requirement for the app. Neither is a universal restriction on reading public educational material. The account screen distinguishes unavailable, pending, approved and withdrawn access. Do not use another person’s declaration to bypass a requirement. Required verification must be completed before that branch becomes available.
Recovery and privacy
Restricted participation does not remove access to sign-in recovery, privacy help, export/removal or safety reports. Blocking remains available to an authenticated account even when posting is restricted. The app’s local notebook is separate from its online Community account.
